Australian Surf Kayaking Champs

Citroen Extreme Race 2010

Low water levels on the Citroen Rapid saw tight racing in the annual extreme race. 2010 saw the debut of 4-way heats and also the new starting platform. The platform sat 4-5 metres above water level and launched four racers at a time into the flow just about the hardest move on the course.
Auckland University Canoe Club presents Ful James 2010. 12 March- 14 March.
Every year hundreds of kayakers flock to the mighty Waikato River for the infamous AUCC Ful James trip. Full James (Ngaawapurua Rapids) offers everyone the chance to get a taste for whitewater and discover why we love it.
If you're an old hand at kayaking the AUCC would love to have you along for the ride. This year's theme is Circus and it's going to be wild with fire dancers, costumes galore, DJ TinTin, and The Kingsland Boom Society. Tickets are $30 for AUCC members ($40 for everyone else) and go on sale 1st March.
