White Water Grand Prix - Gladiator Wave from the Bomb Flow boys.
The first competitive event of the White Water Grand Prix has been on the monstrous Gladiator Wave. This update from Bomb Flow Magazine shows the wave, the moves, and even Rudy Rampage in their glory. Haven't heard any results yet, but stay tuned.

In what is one of the most anticipated kayaking events in recent history, Pat Camblin and Tribe Rider is set to launch the White Water Grand Prix next week. Combining 25 of the Worlds best kayakers (including NZ's Louise Urwin) the event is going to include 6 events over twelve days on a range of rivers throughout Quebec.

Dawson & Jones claim National Titles.
National titles were being handed out after Sundays NZ National Canoe Slalom event on the Tarawera river in Kawerau, and successfully defending their titles was no other the Luuka Jones and Mike Dawson.
NZ Secondary School Slalom Champs
The
weather was superb, the venue for both paddlers and spectators was
amazing and the event provided some fierce competition among
both individuals and schools. After a 14 year reign as New Zealand's Best Kayaking School the Tauranga Boys'
College team succumbed to the mighty South Island team of Dunstan High School
for top honours. Dunstan collected medals in nearly every class and
reflected the hard work of the athletes and the development plan
inititated by Gordy Rayner. Tauranga Boy's retained the Boys' trophy, while Tauranga Girls' won the Best Girls' School title again.
Citroen Extreme Race 2011 delivers the goods.

The Citroen Extreme can always guarantee two things; carnage and upsets. Saturday's 2011 boatercross kept true to this statement. A small but stacked field of males, and two very competitive females (Louise Jull and Martina Wegman) raced four at a time down the Citroen Rapids of the Kawarau River.
Kayaking Films wanted; Cairns Adventure Film Fest
The second annual Cairns Adventure Film Festival is rapidly approaching. Held in late May 2011 the competition has four categories and is aimed at adventure film makers from Australasia and Asia. This exciting competition is open to entrants of all experience levels providing the films feature adventure activities.
The winners will be announced during the Cairns Adventure Film Festival main show night at AJ Hackett Cairns on Saturday May 28th, 2011. The best films will be included in a world and national tour at selected venues in 2011 and early 2012.
