AUBURN, Ala. --Shred Ready is pleased to announce the start of “The Search,” an online video and social media contest to discover up-and-coming talent in kayaking. Contestants will submit videos of themselves kayaking and compete against others for the opportunity to become a sponsored member of the Shred Ready team.

The Search will begin on May 5, 2011 and will conclude on December 31, 2011. The contest is open to people between the ages of 13 and 23 years of age.
Contestants can enter by uploading a video of themselves showing off their kayaking skills, that meets the rules for eligibility, to Vimeo or Youtube.

Cumec Magazine Paddle-sports Awards 2011 - Nominations open.

The first ever Cumec Magazine Paddle-sports awards will be announced in Issue #14 of Cumec Magazine. A new programme for 2011 that aims to identify and acknowledge individuals, groups, and businesses that help to shape our community.

There are several sections to the awards programme that will be judged via an online voting system, and a judging panel. Nominations will be accepted for the following categories over the next two weeks;
